Absolutely! One of the great benefits of membership is being able to enjoy the clubhouse during the day. Whether you'd like to relax with a coffee, take in the fantastic views, catch up with a friend, work on your laptop, have an informal meeting or simply spend some quiet time by the sea, you're very welcome to make use of the clubhouse. There's good Wi-Fi throughout the club, drinking water is available, and members can currently make themselves self-service tea or coffee for £2.

Absolutely! Families are very welcome at PYC. We simply ask parents, grandparents and carers to keep an eye on children and be considerate of other members so that everyone can enjoy the club. We're also exploring ways of making the clubhouse even more family friendly, including the possibility of creating an area with board games and activities for children. This wouldn't be the only place children are welcome - just an additional space to help families relax and enjoy the club.
-
Little Skippers is our volunteer-run parent and toddler group, held at the club every Friday from 9.30am to 11.00am. It's free for PYC members and £3 for non-members. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more, or to volunteer!

Dogs are not allowed in the Main Deck. However, they are always welcome on the balcony, in the Quarterdeck and in the Snooker room. We also appreciate that humans need to buy drinks, so you can take your dog with you to the Cabin to do this!
Assistance dogs are allowed everywhere.

During the summer months we run Discover Sailing sessions for people who'd like to give sailing a try. Beginners can experience the joys of sailing alongside an experienced sailor, with sessions designed to build confidence and introduce you to boat handling in a friendly and supportive environment. Dates vary depending on weather, tides and interest and are usually set a few weeks in advance. We currently sail in Quests and Fevas.

If you'd like to take your sailing further, we're looking at offering our PYC Cadet Scheme. This starts with a Discover Sailing session, giving you the opportunity to try the sport. Those who want to continue can become club members and join the Cadet Scheme, with discounted sail training in Cardiff Bay towards RYA Levels 1 and 2. Once a Cadet achieves RYA Level 1, they can join supervised sailing events. On completion of RYA Level 2, they can progress to standard club sailing events and the racing fleet. The proposed package includes discounted RYA Level 1 and 2 training, PYC membership and use of club facilities and boats.

· PYC WhatsApp Community - for activity groups and day-to-day updates;
· What's On emails - for forthcoming events and news;
· PYC website - for club information and bookings; and
· Club noticeboards - for information when you're in the clubhouse.
